- R22. The legacy refrigerant found in pre-2015 units. It is being phased out globally under the Montreal Protocol, which makes it more expensive per kilogram each year.
- R410A. The standard in inverter and non-inverter models from roughly 2010 to 2018. Still widely stocked across KL.
- R32. The current factory-fill for all new aircond units from 2018 onwards. Lower global warming potential, better energy efficiency, and increasingly the cheapest option per kilogram.

Why We Pressure-Test Before We Charge
Pumping fresh gas into a leaking system is the classic aircond scam in the Klang Valley. You pay for the refill, the unit cools for two weeks, and then you are back where you started. Worse, the technician pockets a tidy profit for a job that did not solve anything.
We run the same pressure-test protocol on every top-up visit in Cheras, whether the booking is residential or commercial:
- Gauge attachment. Manifold gauges go onto the low and high service ports.
- Baseline reading. Pressure is compared against the factory specification for your specific HP rating and refrigerant.

Should You Top Up Gas Yourself?
